RE: REAL US Sticker Map - Not the Forum Image

...been looking for those too...seems to be a real collectors item at this point. Also, for those of you who have the state maps on your rv.net signature...where did you get the image? Thanks. :@

RE: Is this normal

Thanks everyone for the advise. The sway bar adjustments recommended were enlightening....hadn't ever heard of that before. Weighing and anti-sway bar adjustments are relatively easy and inexpensive first step suggestions...so thanks. Hopefully, I'll get to keep my Xterra. If not...I see a lot of Ford F150's around the campgrounds.... Best, Kathy

Is this normal

Hi everyone. I have just returned from camping in western Ohio (Winton Woods campground is fantastic btw). This was my first substantial trip towing my new StarStream SS21RB (3800# dw). I tow this with a 2006 Xterra S. Basic highway towing and even taking Ohio and PA's hills wasn't really much of a challenge. What WAS a bit disturbing was the way the XTerra seemed to handle head winds, 18 wheelers speeding by and other gusty situations (crossing a high bridge over a river for example), or prolonged bumpy roads. I have to say that it was real work keeping everything stable. The XTerra felt like it was being blown all over the road. I am worried about how this is likely to be magnified when I go out west in the Canadian Rockies and Alaska later this year. I have a weight distribution hitch (everything nice and even there) and an anti-sway bar...reasonably tight. So, my question to the forum is....how normal is this? I do feel pretty 'blown around" and had a couple of white knuckle experiences over the weekend. Thanks. :E

RE: Counting the Days!!!

Just saw your post. I am going to Canada and Alaska too. Leaving Aug 1. Taking about a 2 month tour. Also hitting Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks on the way back. Hope you're having fun. Can't wait to read your roadtrip reports!

RE: Solar Panels or other alternates

Thanks everyone for the knowledgeable advice. I will check out both options....I am worried about the amount of rain in Alaska on average that time of year...all that money and still no power would be a real bummer. Best, K

Solar Panels or other alternates

Hi Folks. I've just started a bit of research on solar panels. I will be in Alaska this year...camping in Denali at Tek...looks to be beautiful surroundings, but no facilities. I will be there for 5 days. I do not want to use a generator. I am wondering what the experience has been with solar panels. Certainly planning to decrease my power consumption (no microwave, TV or any other non-essential), even with that, my battery will not last the whole 5 days. The GoPower! solar kits look promising...but is any of this stuff as good as the adverts? Thanks!

RE: Yellowstone in September

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I may look for dog boarding while I am there (checking ahead of time). I will be traveling for 2 months ... so don't want to leave my dog home. I can't wait for this trip! :C

RE: Yellowstone in September

Thanks folks for the feedback so far. I have a PUP. I would be ok with staying if a private campground area...if anyone knows of one that would allow me there with a dog and softsided camper. Thanks again

Yellowstone in September

Hello all. I am new to this forum...glad to see it is so active. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a camping trip to Yellowstone in September? I was planning to be there in early September. Wondered what campgrounds folks would recommend (I'll be traveling with my dog). Also, are the guided hikes, etc still operating that time of year. Thanks. Kathy :)

RE: Considering 2007 Fleetwood Williamsburg...NADA?

Hi. I recently bought a Williamsburg. Mine was a new one...left over from the year before. I got it for 10K. Including a/c and the screen room the Fleetwood is offering this year on any purchases. At a minimum the dealer should be offering you the canopy room. Good luck
